2024 State Conservation Poster Winners

The State Conservation Service sponsors a Speech and Poster Contest each year with a specific theme.  This year the theme was May the FOREST Be With you Always”.

Posters were judged on Conservation Message, Visual Effectiveness, Originality and Universal Appeal.

Mrs. Olsen's 6th grade Science class participated, and all the students did a wonderful job designing their posters as they learned more about our natural resource, the forest.

Although all poster were very creative, the winners chosen were: Alaynna, first place, Emberlynn,  second place, and Hudson, third place.

Awards were given at the local conservation board meeting after each winner described their poster.

The top 3 winners from each school advanced to a District Judge Competition.

The top three posters at Division IV were sent to the Idaho State competition held on Nov 12-14.

Three children stand indoors holding colorful, hand-drawn posters with ribbons attached. The child on the left holds a poster with a blue ribbon, the child in the middle holds a poster without a ribbon, and the child on the right holds a poster with a red ribbon. They are smiling and looking at the camera.
